Chapter History

Chicago, IL Northwest Suburban Alumnae Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was chartered in the 1960's. Sisters came together after college to continue the bonds of friendship and sisterhood they treasured as collegiate. They began meeting on the first Tuesday of the month for social and service events and that meeting time has lasted for fifty years. Through the years the group has grown to include Zetas from all over the country. Our college chapters include: Alpha Gamma, Alpha Kappa, Eta Phi, Zeta Phi, Beta Iota, Alpha Psi, Alpha Phi and others.

The best way to describe the dynamic of our group is that we are very diverse. From recent grads to fifty year recipients, and new moms to grandmas. The camaraderie of our fraternity is strong within our group regardless of how often meetings are attended. The support that our chapter provides each member in times of hardship and joy is powerful and speaks to the impact the values of Zeta Tau Alpha has had on each of us.
