April 2025 Meeting Update

Welcome to our newest member, Sheri!
We voted on our slate of officers for 2025-2026. Congratulations to Donna for her new position as VP of Programming and Micki as VP of Membership.
Congratulations to our raffle winner, Micki.
Thank you to everyone that brought toiletries and baby items for the Crisis Center.
Thank you to everyone that brought children's books to be donated to Bernie's Books.
Congratulations to Jessica for her new position next year in Panhel as the President!
Everyone had a great time playing games after the meeting. The White Elephant gifts were a blast, especially the elephant sprinkler.

The Panhellenic Scholarship Banquet is Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Zeta Day is Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10 am at Chevy Chase Golf Club in Wheeling.
The next meeting is Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 6:30 pm in Barrington.

March 2025 Meeting Update

We welcomed our speaker, Patrick as he talked about being preyed upon by scammers and the things to do to stop them. Great job!
Welcome to our newest members, Michelle and Cristy!
We made a quick video to thank our DP Kerry and sent it off to IO.
Congratulations to Celeste as she won the monthly raffle basket.
Congratulations to Denise as she is our Outstanding Zeta to be recognized at the Panhellenic Scholarship Banquet and at Zeta Day.

February 2025 Meeting Update

We tried a new day of the week for this meeting, Sunday. We had a lovely brunch and 20 Zetas in attendance.
Congratulations to Nancy for winning the monthly raffle basket.
We had a few pictures in our Themis magazine as it highlighted Think Pink events.
We will be sending gift cards to our 3 closest college chapters to help them out this semester.

January 2025 Crown Connection Update

We had a Zoom event with our own Zeta Sister, Sheryl S. talking about being an author. She shared her motivation for writing, the process she uses for writing, and the publishing of her work. She has two different series of books.
After the speaker had finished, those in attendance talked about the books they were currently reading.

The next upcoming meeting will be a Crown Connection event on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 11:00 am in Crystal Lake.

December 2024 Meeting Update

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Make-n-Bake Auction by bringing food and/or raffle items. We had a great crowd!
Thank you to everyone who purchased an item(s) at the auction. The monies raised will help support our scholarship for a collegiate.

The next upcoming meeting will be a Crown Connection event on January 7, 2025 on Zoom.

November 2024 Meeting Update

Our group collected 86 gently used bras during the month of October and donated them in November to the organization Support the Girls.
Thank you to Shirley and Ellen for providing all the materials needed to create autumn and/or Thanksgiving decorations. Everyone was very creative and they looked great!
Congratulations to Janis for winning the red ticket raffle. The funds received from the sale of tickets will help us support a collegiate with a scholarship through the Foundation.
Congratulations to Jennifer for winning the November raffle basket.

October 2024 Meeting Update

We enjoyed our FRED activity.
We had a lovely Founders' Day ritual to celebrate 126 years strong!
We discussed the 3 upcoming MSABC Walk events and volunteering in the Survivor Tents.
Congratulations to Julia for winning the monthly raffle.

September 2024 Meeting Update

It was wonderful to see everyone after the summer.
We approved our updated Bylaws.
We played the game, "Camera Roll". We had a few winners.
Information was provided for the 3 upcoming MSABC Walks.
Congratulations to Anne for winning the monthly raffle.

August 2024 Meeting Update

Everyone worked together to put 300 mini pink candy bags together.
Everyone worked together to fill 300 Think Pink Bags with a variety of items which included the pink candy bags for the upcoming MSABC Walks

April 2024 Meeting Update

We had an enjoyable (and hysterical) time learning how to do chair yoga. Thank you Ellen!
We filled 150 goody bags for the collegiates at the University of Wisconsin to snack on during Finals study days. Thank you to everyone for bringing wonderful treats!
We voted on our slate for next year which passed unanimously. Thank you Micki for being our next VP of Programming. Thank you Ellen for all of your years of service to the group!
Ellen won the monthly raffle basket. Yeah!
We have members who will be attending Zeta Day! Congratulations to our Outstanding Alum, Anne!
We have members who will be attending the Panhellenic Scholarship Banquet. Thank you Jessica for being our representative.

March 2024 Meeting Update

We had a terrific speaker from National Louis University engage us in a discussion about DEI.
We had members from the North Shore Alumnae chapter join us. Welcome Sisters!
We sent in funds to Zeta Foundation for a scholarship in our name for a Zeta Collegiate.
We have 36 members. Yeah us!

February 2024 Meeting Update

We celebrated our group’s 60th birthday.
We played a few games involving the Creed and trivia about 1964. Congratulations to all the winners!
Join some sisters for lunch at Lou Malnati’s in Schaumburg at 11:30 on Monday March 4. Panhel’s Badge Day.

January 2024 Crown Chapter Meeting Update

We held our Crown Chapter event virtually.
We played "Guess the Slogan" game. Thank you to Laura and her husband for putting together a list of slogans.
There were only 2 slogans that stumped everyone.
Everyone is looking forward to a great 2024! Join us!

December 2023 Meeting Update (Make-N-Bake Auction)

Thank you for our wonderful turnout of members and guests.
Thank you to everyone who made and/or baked something for the the auction. Everything was delicious!
We will be able to send Foundation in the spring money for a Northwest Suburban college scholarship. Thank you all for your generous support.

November 2023 Meeting Update

We had a very active meeting. Julia taught everyone how to stamp holiday cards which we then placed in a goody bag.
Thank you to everyone who brought items for goody bags and all the time we took at the meeting to fill them. The goody bags were donated to the PADS program in Elk Grove and the Adopt-a-Senor program through Fremont Township.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help with the Breast Cancer Walks and events in October.
Our Red Ticket Raffle winner was Joanne. Congratulations!
Our November raffle basket winner was Ellen. Congratulations!
Thank you to everyone who has donated baby items for the Community Crisis Center.
We donated 40 bras during October to Treasure House to give to women in need.
We have 33 members so far! Let's keep going!

October 2023 Meeting Update

We had some members return that we hadn't seen in a while. That was wonderful!
We held our monthly raffle and Jessica won!
Stylin' for Scholars Panhellenic event is Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 11-2. Contact Jessica for a registration form.
We held our Founders' Day ritual and a memorial service for Norma and Evie who passed this year. Very touching and very sad.
Thank you to everyone for bringing baby items for the Community Crisis Center.
Thank you to everyone that brought bras to be donated to women in need during Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Thank you to those who helped in the Survivor Tent in Cantigny Park. We have two more Walks to go-October 7, 2023 in Rockford and October 8, 2023 in Libertyville. Call Trudy if you can help.

September 2023 Meeting Update

We welcomed old and new members back in person by meeting on Meg's farm to meet her animals.
We held our monthly raffle and Anne was the lucky winner.
We surprised our first dues paying member for this year with a ZTA t-shirt.
